Our homes should be places for rest, for family, and community. But for too many New Yorkers, housing has become just another source of anxiety. We’re worried about rent going up, about repairs getting done. We don’t know if we’ll be able to stay in our homes, if our kids will have a place to sleep at night.

That’s because when the real estate industry sees our homes, all they see is a dollar sign. Housing should be a human right, but instead it’s become a vehicle for profit for landlords and developers. 

But tenants and homeless New Yorkers have had enough. We deserve safety, stability, and basic respect. That’s why we’re joining up with our neighbors to take power back from the real estate industry. These are our homes. This is our power.
